Joy School Silly Week

I haven't had much in the way of preschool posts this year, but I couldn't resist taking a few post worthy shots at this last week of Joy School.  The "emotion" I was assigned to teach this week was silliness.  I'm not sure that really qualifies as being an emotion, but the kids didn't mind.  We read silly stories, stuck balloons to our head,

painted with our feet,

and popped popcorn without the lid on the popper.

It was simple silliness, but truly amazing to see how much the children enjoyed being given permission to be silly.  And even more amazing to watch how much they enjoyed having the adults join right in.  It was a great week in Joy School, and a great reminder to me to keep up the silliness!  It might result in a clean-up project or two, but so does almost everything we do in life.  And after all, they are only young so long!

Well, what else do you think we do to pass the long winter days away!?  Believe it or not, I think the kids are going to cry when all the snow melts and beg for winter to come again!
