On the Farm

One of Nick's partners recently had some baby goats born on his family farm and was kind enough to let us come and visit.

Needless to say, the boys were in "hog" heaven.  Us girls didn't mind too much either!

Someday I am going to work out a hobby farm of my own, but in the meantime, I'll live vicariously through those already living the dream.

Flat Ethan in North Dakota

We recently got one of those chain letters in the mail from the kids' cousin, Ethan.  His school was doing the flat "Stanley project" and was passing the letter around to see what adventures their own flat people could have.  Since there aren't too many adventures to be had in the middle of no-where North Dakota, especially on our busy time schedule, we simply took flat Ethan to the local Heritage Center to have his photo made with Sakakawea and a "wild" buffalo. Then I put Madison in charge of livening up his adventure with a few creations of her own.
Here is a copy of the post card and story we mailed back to the school for
Ethan and his classmates to enjoy.

Easter Traditions

Cheers to another year of wonderful Easter traditions!

This year we tried hand dying eggs with natural dyes.

It was chilly weather for our Easter egg roll, but we made the most of it.

Our annual easter egg cake decorating contest was pretty intense,

but with egg-cellent results.

We also decorated Easter egg cookies

and attended several Easter egg hunts at both Sleepy Hollow,

And then with all of our neighborhood friends.

Here we are at our Easter Eve picnic.  Gratefully it was a little warmer outside.

And of course on Easter morning.
