Well, Mason is finally old enough to get into his first sports class--the YMCA's Itty Bitty Sports Program. He has taken gymnastics at the girls gymnastics facility, but as with Spencer, Nick counts the days until he can be done. This year, Mason counted the days too. He was so excited to be able to do soccer and basketball like his big brother. He even got to try out baseball, which Spencer has never done.
Like his brother, he was the littlest guy in the class, but he held his own like a champ! He is built like a tank and is amazingly fast. Plus, he is so sweet when it comes to listening and following directions. All the other little kids struggled to stay on task, but Mason was all ears and did everything his teacher asked. What a little pleaser! It just warmed my heart. It tugs at me heart a little bit too though. He loves the classes. Loves being with the other kids. And is so good for his teacher. He, like Emma, loves getting out of the house. Unlike Maddi and Spence, both of them would go to public school and never look back. That knowledge always introduces an element of sadness into the home schooling process, but I'll trust in God's direction and hope He will help me meet the needs of these beautiful little babes, one way or another.
