2013 Hoskins Family Christmas Card

Season's Greetings Family and Friends-

Well, it's that time of year again, and we thought we would take just a minute to update you on the latest with our little family.  On December 30, 2011, we moved out of our house in Rochester, Minnesota, house-hopped for seven months (including a two-month stay in both Jacksonville Florida--where we took 13 trips to Walt Disney World, a Disney cruise, and spent a day at Harry Potter World--and Scottsdale, Arizona), and then in July of 2012 finally settled into life in our new home: Bismarck, North Dakota.  Nick enjoys his job here as an anesthesiologist at St. Alexius Hospital, and the kids and I stay busy with school and activities including: piano, dance, soccer, gymnastics, music makers, joy school, preschool, home school, and keeping up with Maddi's public school assignments and activities.  (Phew!) We are loving Bismarck--the people, the temple, and yes, even the weather.  In the Spring, we will break ground on our lot and hopefully be moved into our new house by this time next year.  Our life is busy--as our out-of-date blog attests too, but it is finally taking on some stability.  We are ready to settle in, put down some roots, and enjoy some of the fruits of our labors--that is, if the Mayan doomsday doesn't throw a kink into our plans!  (Ha!) Actually, with our country's current leadership, I think the Mayan doomsday might be a welcome event, especially since we will have family in town for Madison's baptism when the world comes crashing down.  We can flip on our propane-run space heater, munch on our gourmet food storage, and spend hours talking together and reading our ever-growing book collection by 100-hour emergency candle light.  Sounds quaint enough to me!   We even became proud gun-owners this month, just in case.  On the off chance that the Earth doesn't fall into a black hole; however, we'll try and get our blog up-dated (we all know you're dying to know how we finally visited our 50th state this year) and have a bit more exciting letter to share next year.  We love you all and wish you a Merry Christmas filled with peace, joy, and love!  Take care and God bless!

Love, the Hoskins family

Nick, Jamie, Madison (7), Spencer (6), EmmaLee (4), and Mason (3)
