After weeks of non-stop practicing, Madison got her heart's desire and was chosen by her piano instructor as the student to play the prelude and postlude music for her Christmas piano recital. To make it even more exciting, her teacher gave her some lessons on the organ so that she could play her Christmas songs on a variety of settings, including Maddi's favorite--the chimes.
We were pretty proud as she sat down at the organ looking so little, yet so grown-up. Maddi had a few months of lessons back in Rochester before we sold our home and had to put our piano in storage, but now that she is back in regular lessons she is simple blossoming. She loves music and especially loves playing church and Christmas songs. We are so pleased with all of her progress and enjoy her frequent tinkering on the piano at various points throughout the day.
