Let's Dance!

Yes, it's that time of year again!  That one time of year when Mom let's the girls wear not just some, but all of her make-up, not to mention her special performance sparkles.  (Sparkles she used to wear in her old performance days!) Plus, they get a fancy hairdo and a new dance outfit and the chance to dance on the stage in front of a hall full of adoring fans. (Aka parents and family.)  Yes, you guessed it, it's once again recital time.  And this year, Madison and Emma will both be dancing.  This being Madison's third recital, I think she's feeling pretty down to earth about things, but Emma has been 

out-of-this-world excited about her big moment on the stage.  

As no cameras are allowed on show-nights, here are a few shots of the girls on the night of their dress rehearsal.  First, Emma and the boys watching Maddi.

Both of the girls did really well in their final performance, though I do have to admit that our little Emma was a little more shell-shocked when she hit the stage than I expected our daring little wonder-woman to be.  But then, what four-year-old wouldn't be?

 

And here are the girls after the show.  The boys presented them with flowers and ring pops,

 

and then Mom and Dad took them all out for ice cream at the new ice cream place in town---Flapdoodles.  Yum!

It was another great year of dance, and another round of pictures and dance videos to cherish as the years go by! 

Oh, and here is one extra picture of the girls and two of their friends who take dance with them--Kennedy and Brooklyn Ercanbrack.  Oh how they are going to miss these little girls when we move!!
