Home Away From Home
I wanted to just pause for a moment today and include this brief post about our home away from home for the next three weeks (as pictured above). As we mentioned a few posts back, our family has relocated to the wonderful city of Boston for the month of November. Unlike Mayo's other away rotations; however, the housing here is a little different. In Florida and Arizona, the Mayo puts us up in a three bedroom furnished condo with a rental car and all the works. In Boston, on the other hand, there are no rental cars, and the housing is slightly more cramped. In fact, cramped doesn't really begin to describe the single room we will all be living in for the next few weeks. There is one queen sized bed, (the kids are sleeping in sleeping bags on the floor) a desk, a chair, a television, and a small, but private bathroom. Then, there is a small shared kitchen area. In other words, for the next three weeks, my four kids and I will be enjoying the wonderful experience of living co-ed style with the other 6 residents of the house, none of whom is used to having children around. It will be interesting, to say the least. Interesting, and somewhat crazy. Sometimes even I wonder what we are thinking!
