Preschool Halloween Party!

While it's sometimes hard to describe exactly what we are celebrating to my children, Halloween is in fact still one of my favorite holidays. Perhaps it's just that it's in the fall time, but nonetheless, I love it. And my kids love it too. I especially love throwing a kids Halloween party, and this year my preschool teaching time again afforded me this opportunity. After staying up late to carve our pumpkin,



and make all sorts of yummy Halloween treats, it was time again for the annual celebration. It all started with the Halloween cupcake walk and costume parade.





Then we all climbed up to the table to make some monster goo (actually flubber--but hey, it's Halloween!),







and the usual witches brew.







These Halloween parties are starting to feel a bit like a broken record, but hey, we'll take them while we can get them. There is only so long the kids will be fascinated by the smoking witches brew and actually believe that their magic words are what does the trick.

And just for fun, here are a few shots from the ward Halloween party. After a few online tutorials, Maddi and Spence did pretty well with the wards' rendition of Michael Jackson's Halloween hit "Thriller".
